My 970 + i7-4770 + 8 GB ram gives me around 40 FPS on high settings in the dev Kraken park with around 700 people and 1920x1080 resolution. I know it's unoptimised, but this is nowhere near the recommended 90 FPS for VR. Medium gets about 75 FPS.
I agree that VR would be wonderful, but have to wonder if it's realistic right now. Give it a year or so and who knows

We've not issued an official statement on such right now. We have not confirmed or denied our plans for Virtual Reality support. It should be seen as an "under consideration" discussion at this point in time. Thanks.

Cool thanks. Looking forward to a positive decision though! If this old roller coaster DK2 demo is good to go by, VR in those PC rides has to be something!

just logged into this forum to find a answer on this.
I must say the answer surprises me as Frontier can have so many people test this at this time.
those people all want to see developed VR software.
so therefore I read the answer as a NO or a only halfway maybe but not fully...
reason enough for me not to get on board this time.

Quite a broad statement to make there, personally I would love to see VR support in, however I doubt EVERYONE on the alpha wants to go out and spend £500-£750 on VR equipment to play the game in VR
Good luck in your quest to find a Theme Park design game that has commited to a VR platform. We will continue to enjoy PC as it currently stands, an amazing game played on your monitor....
