Powerplay Will power play get me killed?

New to power play. Aligned with a power (Aisling Duval) but now I'm taking passenger missions that may take me out of my controlled system. Will I be safe? Will I be targeted by other NPCs? I am playing in solo so its them I have to worry about. I don't want to fly 100ly with a VIP just to be blown up.

Also is there any where I cant go? Will I be able to dock at other places?

Powerplay NPC will never touch you unless you carry powerplay-specific cargo or have merit vouchers.

Although Non PP NPC's will still attack you for other reasons, including the status of the passengers you might be carrying.

Powerplay will get you killed if you are encountering hostile rival super faction PvP CMDRs :O

Theoretically speaking I've heard.

Not really. Running into other PvP power play commanders is rare even when you are trying to. Some powers more than others.

Well, it depends on where your operating and who you come across.

The Mahon folks hardly ever play in Open so your pretty free to muck up their works and will only likely encounter NPC's
It's rather uncommon to run into players of the other independents except Archon Delane (common).
It's also uncommon to come across Torval players in Open.
The other Imperial powers and both Federation powers have players about in Open all the time so I'd say it's quite common.

This is all based on personal experience and I have been at this game for roughly 2 years.

Yeah players do have a right to kill you if you are affiliated with a hostile player...NPC's almost always interdict you which is annoying. usually they aren't too powerful though. PVP circumstances just talk to them, they will see reason...the reasonable ones anyway
