Will Thargoid Legs make sense?

What does the community think and expect?

It seems the next content will be Thargoids with legs. In some ways I like the idea but am concerned by how it might turn out. There's a chance it will be some kind of Alien or Starship Troopers style bug that doesn't fit the Elite universe. Some questions I wondered about - Will the Thargoids have guns or not? Will they need spacesuits? Should they fit the existing lore or not? What attributes should they have to avoid a weird experience?

From my POV the Thargoids in Elite are intelligent so I'd expect they would have guns and as they apparently come from Ammonia planets so presumably need spacesuits in a vacuum or weak atmosphere. Curious to hear the thoughts and expectations of others.

First question would be "What do they need foot soldiers for?". They have huge vessels that can level settlements easy on their own. They have smaller drone ships if that is needed and scavengers to collect all the material from the ruins. So why foot soldiers? And why in person and not more biomechanical drones? And to be honest, right now I have no answer for these questions based on what the Thargoids have done in the past.

I don't know, i'm afraid that wearing a thargoid leg over my spacesuit could damage it.

yes, they should definitively wear some equipment to be on foot on non-ammonia worlds, and definitively some kind of weapon.

So, unfortunately, no naked thargoids

From the comms logs, human settlements had underground areas to the settlements.

We don't even know when or what's in Update 6, neither do we even know anything about any future content, because there is no Road Map at all, and none wants to share anything with us.

What we do have is that DLC rated as mostly negative, and lots of players leaving the game.

So Thargoids are pretty much on hold, maybe forever, who knows...

Another species could look at humans and ask the same thing.

Hopefully their weapons won't be as corrosive as their ship's ones

I heard they were already in the game, but thought they'd been rushed out of their space flowers, so they wrote an open letter on the forums and moved to No Mans Sky.

I believe Bottom Hat already haz their stuffz.

To be honest though, I wish I didn't have it, it's all rather gooey, sticky, and corrosive. I had to put it all in a caravan with asbestos walls, as it keeps damaging the walls of the shed.

And don't get me started on the effect it had on the badgers. The daddy badger attacked me the other day, then I realized one of its eyes was hanging out. I had to hit it around the head with a rock to subdue it, then superglue it back in the socket (I'm an animal lover). It's even angrier now though, and when it tries to look at me, I'm never sure if it is, as it has googly eyes, and it's really awkward.

On the plus side, Steve the neighbour's cat seems equally freaked out by it now, and is crapping less in the garden. The caravan smells a bit more like cat pee now though, which isn't great, but when you gotta go...

Anyway, what was the question?
