I might have missed something but i have not seen any info on that Front. Does anybody know how this will be handled? Cause, for me personaly, preordering the Alpha wouldnt make much sense if its not on the live Servers. I am not a person who likes to play things just for the sake of "seeing it first".
Will the alpha go online on the liveservers or will it be played on Testservers?

It will almost certainly be on test servers like the betas are.
Then sounds like the alpha won't be for you.
If previous alphas are any indication it'll be a separate mode from the regular login.
"Seeing it first", is generally not what an Alpha is for...

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say, we don't know yet.

Well yeah that is of course the optimal scenario but we all know that most people just wanna "experience" the new stuff
But from what i gather there is no official response or info to or about that. So ill wait with preordering until we know more.betas has always and will always be on a seperate "server", and using a "snapshot" of live server from typical a week or two before the start of the beta period. Nothing gained or lossed in beta is taken in to live server. You can obviously play both at the same time, separately.

Then there would be more sense, if Alpha would be a cheaper version, and of course then tester's PC would send automatically the log files to Frontier after session ending, crashing, BSOD etc.
But, I suppose, the laurels of the pioneers are also worth something ...
The option to play ahead of launch was tempting enough for me - so paying for the chance was fine

Don't wait for official confiramtion on something so obvious.

If you see the percentage of participants who actually submit correct bug reports, you will be more shocked than you were when you heard what Aisling said at the summit.

During the AI Beta years back, it was the fine tuning of the AI, and all the salt harvesting on the forums.....
