That's due in 4.5 billion years. I figure Star Citizen will be out about then so they should get the naming perks.
My guess is that by then CIG will have siphoned so much money that they could actually own both galaxies, in preparation for the release in 2 or 3 years.
Just want to say my thread isn't a dig at the update process, (i very happy with odyssey, it's great) but a tongue in cheek joke on how they would update an already massive galaxy. I won't give up my day job.

Sorry, they'd need to add Andromeda in-game. We'd probably need an expansion towards increasing the scope of the game first, from the 1:1 Milky Way to maybe the entire Local Group 1:1.
In 8 years we had 2 expansions, so by 1,000,002,022 at this rate they might have done it in one of the 250 million expansions we would have by then. That gives them still 3.5 billion years to finish preparing the game for the galaxy colision.
