Will There Be a Michael Crichton Novel Canon DLC in the Future?

Just a speculation of mine, given word of a Fallen Kingdom DLC pack coming in the near future.
But, I am just wondering if we might see a DLC pack based on Michael Crichton's original novelization.

Such as reskins of the Dinosaurs as they appeared in the Jurassic Park and The Lost World Novel,
or even new, exclusive dinosaurs that only appeared in the Novels thus far.

The pack could also give us reskinned buildings and vehicles, too.

Does anyone else find such a DLC Pack interesting??

I am sure there will be a separate Film Canon DLC.

I myself would like that, too. If only for my Operation Genesis nostalgia.

At the very least, it'd be cool if they released the remaining novel dinosaurs (Hypsilophodon, Othnielia, Hadrosaurus, Microceratus, Euoplocephalus, etc.) as DLC.

It's not really high on my most wanted features list, but it would be nice to have. Can't see it happening though. They're focusing on movies only.

I'd totally love a Crichton-DLC, but not in the sense of only more Dinosaurs or simple "re-skins". I'd love to see the philosophical depths of the original novels reflected in the game. The novels, even more than the movies, deal with the hubris of mankind when it comes to understanding and controlling science. There are plenty of situations in the novels, when the JP staff had to take a step back from their work and say "Well, now, that's unexpected." or "Hey, it's not supposed to do that!". It would be great to have that sense of unpredictability in the game. We are, after all, playing god with the genomes of some of the most dangerous animals this planet has ever seen. It's only natural (pun intended) for things to go to hell in a handbasket, the moment we get too comfortable or sloppy.

This DLC could include some of the unexpected mutations seen in the novels (chameleon-like abilities, wild breeding, increased aggression, anti-social behavior even among social Dinosaurs) to play havoc with your plans. That means, if they aren't already included in the game. I think in one of the interviews one of the Devs hinted at "mutations" or "implications" that are not necessarily shown in the stats of your newly engineered Dino.

In addition to the increased difficulty, such a DLC could (as you said) introduce vehicles and "rides" from the novels, like the High Hide, the electric Explorer Jeeps/bikes and the truck with trailer from The Lost World novel, maybe even additional characters like Sarah Harding or the now grown up kids from the novels for commentaries and/or new missions.

Being a Universal licensed game, I'm not so sure but In a interview one of the devs said that they read the novels, so you never know.

You are certainly right about that. And, it's one reason why I brought this up.
As while a majority of Jurassic Park fans focus on the films, they only scratch the surface what the novel's had.

YouTuber Klayton Fioriti has done several videos showcasing scenes and elements from the novels,
than could not only expand the films, but add more to the 'Jurassic' lore.

One example is the DX Disease from novelization of "The Lost World",
where carnivorous dinosaurs suffered prion infections from consuming unsafe meat,
and infected the herbivores just by biting them, which threatened Isla Sorna with it's own extinction event.

The DX Disease could easily be adapted to Jurassic World: Evolution via a Novel Canon DLC,
and present a new challenge for players as if left unchecked, ALL your dinosaurs could be wiped out.

I also agree with the additional characters.

Not only Novel exclusives, like Ed Regis. But, alternate versions of the film characters, such as Sarah Harding,
who in the The Lost World novel, was described as being like a "Lara Croft" character.
