I'd like to see military rank become a lot more meaningful before anything. Beyond a few unlocks.
Guess when they'll unlock the Alliance.
Will there be changes in 2.1 in relation to how ranking up in the Empire and Federation works?

It would be nice if Alliance reputation mattered, yes. That should have been on of the first content updates.
Well, to me it makes much more sense to hold the Alliance off-limits until the 'final' military career is added. That way everyone, including the admirals and kings here, can enjoy the full experience if they so desire without demanding a reset.
