Will there be new CQC maps in the future?

I doubt it, it's pretty much an abandoned feature at this point. Maybe if thousands of players go insane and fall in love with the gamemode and spend hours and hours in it, Fdev will put some work into it

I mean to play it, but then I keep forgetting to queue up, or it takes so long to find a match that I am engaged in some other activity.
I wish they still had the CQC only client available, for free, to get others to play it and as an advertising for the main game. Let them keep the credits they win in the CQC as a starting bonus if they upgrade to the full game. Add the tutorials to it and you got a nice demo and more people playing CQC.

The broken lobby bug (original) and the CTD bug (long-standing, maybe connected to the Condor) are still around.
The player population remains low enough that you might find it difficult to find any match except at peak times.
But aside from that, people still play it; looking at the squadron leaderboards it's probably a bit more active now than it was in 2022 or 2023, but probably also quite a bit down on its 2019/2020 peak of activity.
