Will there be new festive items this year?

Hi everyone,

Exactly as the title says, will we be getting some new festive pieces for the holidays this year? I am currently going around my park and getting it ready for the holiday season and it got me thinking, while there is so much festive themed pieces to use today, a little more wont hurt would it ? :)

It would be a nice thought however i appreciate the team are working hard already on the anniversary update. What do you guys think, would you like some new festive items too?

Hi, having some Reindeer's would be an excellent addition! I personally want to see Mr Clause added into the game.. i mean its not really festive without Santa and i dont think there is one piece in the festive pack that resembles the wonderful Santa Clause. We have snowmen, nutcracker, gingerbread men etc.. but no Santa :(

So in answer to your question, i would love to see Santa, his Reindeer and some elfs too!

The Fesitve color options are some of the nicest in PlanCo, but there are still some that I'd like added for the Winter Update: wafers, chocolate, and gingerbread (especially gingerbread building pieces, not all gingerbreads are the same color) should be colorable -- that'd expand the versatility.

Yes I agree about colour options for the gingerbread. Why do we have to stuck with a specific nuance of brown? Gingerbread can be lighter and darker. Kind of same question for non colourable wood walls. [tongue]


Personally, by the quite big culture difference between Scandinavia and the UK when it comes to iconic props to make a real Christmas festive environment in your park. Just say there is a lot of stuff I wish for that I know I will never get. [squeeeeee]
It is very interesting to see British Christmas represented trough the stuff we got though. No complaining.

Sweden and Scandinavia is quiiiiiite less focus on all this candy, and more (really more) about gnomes, pixies,, Santa, halm goats, Lucia, saffron, candles and a lot of glitter. [heart]

Bo has been a busy little Bee these last few Days, answering Q’s here, there, and everywhere......She finally shot down the ‘Weather’ request for the time being, so I guess if there were no plans for an “Xmas” update, that would have been shot down too, going on the assumption She’s read this one Day old thread of course.

There may well be some Xmas content, but what with the ‘Anniversary’ update just Days away, it would be understandable that Frontier would wish us to concentrate on that, and nothing else, maybe once that’s released, and then December hits, we’ll get some word, one way or another.

To be honest, I'm not really expecting another update in December, considering there would be only a month in-between. Especially not something big. If there would be another winter update this year, I guess it would consist of at most a few scenery pieces and some bugfixes. I am not expecting anything major for this year after the anniversary update. Of course, feel free to prove me wrong Frontier [happy]

The talk seems to be smaller updates after 1.4 - so like instead of 1 big update every few months smaller updates, possibly every month ? Like Cities Skylines, and I hope that doesn't mean a ton of DLC stuff, I hope it means the game will see more updates in a shorter time span then Quarterly ( 4 times a year )

Yea I won't mind cheap DLCs every now & then, but if they are going to do more updates I'd rather they fix things / add content we don't have to pay for, more updates mean get faster content instead of waiting for spring to roll around, summer to roll around, fall to roll around, winter to roll around.

Granted this is how it should be all the way to version 2.0 ( that should be the next big update )

It might be a little too soon for an update around Christmas, but winter is three months long (sometimes the weather lasts a lot longer) so there is still time. I personally would love an update around New Years with props from different cultures. I would love to recreate some parks I have seen when I lived in China.
