Will they offer a boxed collectors edition?

Even though I bought into the Beta which includes the Mercenary edition, would they look at doing a physical boxed collectors edition (with star maps/replica ships/soundtrack/artbook/mousepad).

Any talk of this?

unlike the "other" crowd, they are concentrating on the game at the moment, and not how to keep milking the cow.

but they probably will have something later on close to release

I bought the boxed collectors edition which was sold during kickstarter, so once they get those under production I see no reason why they would not sell boxed versions from then on.

During the Kickstarter and Backers App days, certain funding levels got you a boxed edition with a t-shirt that says you backed ED.

Nothing's been said about potential boxed editions once the game goes live.
Yet.
I'd just wait and see.

I bought the boxed collector edition too. My backers app says:

DRM-free collector's premium boxed edition of "Elite: Dangerous". Includes a T shirt with "I backed Elite: Dangerous" on the back, an A3 Star Map and a paperback copy of the official sequel to "The Dark Wheel".

Boxed collectors edition will be, perhaps, on sale in the store of ED, later. Perhaps less prestigious than the box in the Kickstarter ?
