Ships Will this Combatconda stay alive against Thargoids?

Once more I return with a question for the pilots with more knowledge than me.
I (still) have this PvE Combatconda which I'm comfortable to fly with in High Risk (?) Combat Zones.

I don't intend to fight against motherships.
But will it be able to fight against Thargoid Scouts? Are there even encounters with Scouts but without motherships?

Thank you in advance for your answers.

I'd swap all the weapons for AX multis (if you're going to be a dedicated scout hunter). Also, if you're just going for the rank up, not for the fun of it, use turreted AX multis. You might find the Annie a bit sluggish - those scouts zip about. I could be wrong here, but I think Thargs do direct damage, so maybe switch shield boosters to heavy duty.

Also, fit a decontamination limpet to stop caustic damage and, in your free utility slot, a xeno scanner.

I don't have any guardian blueprints (except the FSD) and my intention is just to participate in this CG (maybe in the far future to grind for combat elite I might become a Thargoid Hunter but that is not really of interest right now).

Thus, my follow up question is: do I need to find more blueprints for these AX turrets?

Well, my Kleopatra is indeed a bit sluggish. But that's fine, I'm used to it. But from your answer it seems to follow, that I will most often not hit with the weapons as of now. Is that correct? And yes, you can assume that I'm a terrible combat pilot (there is a reason for all the shield boosters).

What do I need the xeno scanner for? Won't I see them scouts otherwise?

You need a little bit more hull to deal with the corrosive damage. In a big ship like that the missiles will hit you 100%. As others have said you need decon limpets and AX-multies at the minimum. I only would hunt scouts with this and start in an NHSS threat 3 or 4 with only 4 scouts to get your bearing.

Didn't changed much of your build as you just want to go have some fun: https://s.orbis.zone/9prJ

All the multies in one fire group and the 2 rails in the other. The multies do all the killing and you can use the rails to practice. I put feedback on them as you can use it later to cancel scbs, it's even useful in PvE.

Nice for the rails practice! (y)

A Conda will work against scouts but as mentioned above it's a big target, I prefer medium ships as they have the speed and agility to dodge incoming fire and sometimes avoid caustic missiles (if not you have the speed to disengage and use the decon limpets)

Thank you for these very helpful answers. For the time being I've decided against fighting Thargoids and going (regular) Bounty Hunting instead.
But I'm pretty sure I'll come back when I have to do the grind for combat Elite.

What you've said so far makes the impression that I can use the Anaconda reasonably well, but that I maybe should not use it.

What kind of ships would you recommend?
I intend to get a Corvette in the Future, maybe a Cutter.
But after my recent discoveries how fun the Dolphin is to fly (used it as a bus for business dudettes and dudes in Colonia) and how much I like the Courier's cockpit view (used it as a close-to-the-bubble-exploration-ship) I am more than open for other suggestions.

I'm not a fan of the Python or the Kraits's … I've never flown them but I find them ugly (despite most people seemingly loving them) … yeah … I like my sluggish Anaconda Type-9 :) . But if you say that these are the super-duper-easy-peasy-to-use-uber-scout-hunting-ships, I'm willing to try them.

Ships like the Krait Mk II, Chieftain etc are great for scouts. I got Elite fighting in a Krait, but YMMV.

The Anaconda is fine; just time on target can be hard work for rails - AX MC turrets will be hilarious fun. 1700 integrity will be fine if you don't mind overheating if you get corrosive (you will) damage. I did it in mine unengineered, but again... medium ships are faster and more agile.

Enjoy though!

Anaconda is recommended as you can buy and fit 4 large AX multicannon turrets. No blueprints needed.
In the remaining slots you can put advanced MC, but as far as I remember they are not in turret but you can exceed the limit (4) on ax weapons.
