Erm... There has been a bit of a lore chabge. Oresriens are Thargoids (a faction of). The Klaxxions are another. The latter, it seems, are worse.

I bought, but have not read Wagar's latest book yet. I suspect I will find this in there?

I'd like all the races from the original Elite to make a come back... Not only the Insectoid 'Thargoids' but also the Birds-Forms, the Amphibioids and the Felines!

I always remember blue felines for some reason but yes the elite universe does seem a little bland with nothing but humans

The Oresrians have been Thargoids since at least Frontier: First Encounters and confirmed as such in the current game's lore in T. James' Out of the Darkness.

yeah some extra life forms would be well welcomed. but that could also become a slippery slope. where do you stop. i mean more like how rare would they be if we brought back the others would they be refuges or come in forse to help or hinder. it would flush out lots of the nothing of space if we found another bubble

Since the Cyclops and Basilisk Interceptors act friendly towards each other, that means they're of the same "dynasty" So we may have only encountered one of the two. I think these are the Oresrians.
