I have a hard time believing they'd answer this question... that said, getting more animals per DLC would certainly be nice... even if those extra animals were just clones or reskins...
We will know when the next DLC will be announced. If they AGAIN release only 4 animals + one box animal, nothing will change before near the end of the lifespan of the game. I was, for a moment, hopeful, when Chanté said they want to make this year the best for PZ yet. But now I think it's like "ending the year on a high note" a marketing speech with not too much difference behind it. (Yes, xes, we got diving, I know)
I can say, if the DLC models won't change, I feel incredibly sorry for the CMs. Imagine reporting community feedback again and again and again and some better paid people who have absolutely no contact with the customer base whatsoever decide "nope, we just ignore them." What an imensly frustration job that must be for the CMs...

I truthfully don’t see the dlc model changing just yet. Expecting more is setting yourself up for disappointment tbh. Don’t get me wrong like everyone else here I would be thrilled to get more animals for sure. I do however see the dlc model changing at some point tho..... just not the 10-20 animals people are hoping for. I’d say more along the lines of 7-8. Planet coaster had all ride packs eventually that consisted of 7 if I remember correctly. That’s why I can’t stress enough how critical long support is on a game like this. I do potentially see this title getting longer support then both jwe and PC simply because the game is so much better put together. JWE was always going to be hindered by the console port and PC a great game in it’s own right just couldn’t deliver what the fan base wanted and probably what frontier wanted to implement into the game. Planet zoo however has very few flaws and doesn’t seem to be hindered by limitations like the titles above. Pathing system is nothing I can’t live with. Imo there’s no reason for a sequel in the next few years for this game. Graphics are amazing and capabilities seem pretty solid so there’s really no reason a small team can’t provide long support for the game imo.
Same here. I hope at some point they have only building pieces or only animals DLC, don't think every time can have building pieces that support that theme.
Licensed games are always difficult to predict. You can expect a different treatment with the upcoming F1 games as well.
At some point the big free updates will stop or have less new features. I know people want a lot of features but at some point the dev decides the game is finished or like we always planned to be. It's speculation at this point, even the different games of Frontier all have differences.
6 animals because last year we had 5 animals and the other 4 animals so maybe this 6 animals. But I agree with you that maybe there is no DLC this year because it is them they say. They can stop the game like this but they can also take over as another team. As for the comments more have insisted on something more likely to see in the game like the aquatic pack. It is also true that we have more DLC in the game. The game becomes boring e have played other
games, played this game but with what we did not in the game and maybe later another DLC will be released who knows. I know of other games that they play that came out with DLC at the start of the game's release and then nothing or others that release DLC every year.
I always say the more we believe in it, the more chances our dreams will come true like having more animals in the game. But the future of this game will tell us even if it is a game and that everyone wants to have more animals.

This is my concept for a South-East Asia Pack if they considered doing 8 animals (unrealistic at this point)

Great idea. I would only change croc for Babirusa and maybe muntjac for Eld’s deer only because it’s bigger deer species.
The only croc I still miss in the game is alligator

I have a soft spot for the False Gharial, Sunda Gharial or Tomistoma, whatever you call it, I love them, though I have never seen one in person
Babirusa are an island species if I am not mistaken, only from Sulawesi and some surrounding islands
I was just doing animals from South-East (Mainland) Asia (sort of)
I’m hoping for clouded leopard,sun bear,gibbon,and binturong. I would possibly take a baribusa in place of the clouded leopard as the sun bear is leaked and I feel the game needs the other two. I have nothing against the Malayan tapir but at this point it’s basically just a reskin and the other five are simply more unique and desirable imo. Exhibit probably king cobra or reticulated python.

I'm going to bump this thread because I noticed something.
In the update thread, @Danny_zoo pointed out that in the 1.5 free update there are no free scenery pieces and no foliage. I went back and checked every post on the forum about the free updates and each had some free scenery pieces and foliage. Pair that with the fact that there are 2 weeks until the release of the DLC and the update (and as we discussed, Frontier usually doesn't wait that long and release their content about a week after the announcement) and I think we might be onto something.
1. The reason there is no free content in the update is because they will bring us a bigger DLC. More animals and more foliage, but this time no freebies, all paid content.
2. It means nothing at all and we're just grasping for straws.

I expect 4 animals and a box, OR maybe one or two more animal added and they'll price gouge the community badly. Just my expectations and opinon so far
