Will we get the update b4 Xmas?

So I’ve played with the beta and enjoyed the new features and I can’t wait for the update to drop. The issue for me is I’m busy as heck with work so I’m hoping the beta and any issues that have arisen will be sorted in time for the Xmas holidays. I will be gutted if it isn’t, it’s the only break (2 weeks whoo hoo) on my calander for the next few months and I can’t think of a better way of spending it than out exploring with the new tools we’ve got coming.

so yeah basically FD any chance Christmas is getting an update?

We are now in week four of the beta. Which was announced to last for four weeks.

Of course, if something wild and unexpected still happens, it could be that they expand the beta. But based on the status up to now, I think that rolling it out next weeks is quite likely.

I think that's a little optimistic. I'm going for mid December.

Another yes - there are issues, but no showstoppers (well, apart from all the CTD getting killed in Thargoid CZ today, but that can't be hard to fix)

End of Beta has been announced already for 26 Nov, which adding two weeks for signoff of console builds would give 11 Dec as a likely release date for live. (And maybe 12 Dec before they've managed to spin up enough extra servers that everyone can get on at once, as usual...)

But releases have always been on Thursdays, which is why my prediction has long been release on December 13 :D

The release will be on release day, with 6 hours of server downtime, with a This Could Take Longer disclaimer, followed by increasingly slower downloads for at least 2 days, and at least one glaring bug.

3.3 will drop before Christmas, the devs will finally get to leave the office and have an xmas break, and the community will be outraged that the devs are away with their families when a new version has just dropped and there are bugs that we want fixed IMMEDIATELY!

So it was, So shall it always be. :D

Well my fingers will be crossed that no major issues have turned up. Hate to put any pressure on the dev team leading up to the holidays (they deserve a stress free holiday too) and I would prefer fixed instead of rushed but man a live I hope it’s out in time for the hols.

Kind of what I am hoping for too. I fully expect it to release before Xmas. The teaser will be the icing on the cake.

But I could imagine there being an Fdev expo early next year to show off any new games and they may show us the next Era then.

I'm expecting bugs since not a single release has been without. And seeing how some are clear and obvious, you get the impression they don't test much to actually notice for themselves beforehand. I also expect old bugs to rear their ugly heads again since this also tends to happen with this game.

I'm saying all, that I do expect to see many fixes also. Lol.
