Michael Brookes

Game Director
We have three pairs of weekend tickets (Accommodation and travel is not included!) for LaveCon happening this weekend!

If you don't know what Lavecon is then find out more from this thread:

http://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=10295

To enter the contest all you need to do is complete the following sentence:

"I want to go to Lavecon because..."

Post your entry as a reply to this thread.

We will then pick the three winners when I arrive in the office on Friday morning. Selection will be on the basis of what amuses me, or breaks my heart - whichever works and my decision is final.

Good luck!

Michael

"... I can't go because of other commitments but I always want things I can't have."

Enjoy the show Commanders

I take it no-one wants to go then?

I can't make it because my wife says I have to go on holiday to Disneyland instead with my children.

Maybe Frontier could gave away a signed hat or an Elite keyring to the person with the best excuse........"My pet cobra ate my homework" sort of thing :D

"I want to go to Lavecon because..."

... being a hard working father trying to apportion time to his wife and children, I have not been able to keep as close to the frontier of Elite and its evolving events as much as I would like. I desperately desire a break from my hectic normal day to day life to immerse myself in the escape... alas I have no credit to do so as I was 'pirated' (some say grief'ed) by murphy's law. This would not be so sad if I had received my long awaited challis to drink my daily beverage from or the badge of honour I so desperately desired, but again I am the victim of murphy's law and I am left alone watching my credits evaporate like water on Vulcan!

Woe is me!

"I want to go to Lavecon because..." My lawn is a state, my runner beans are covered in bind weed and the wife has a whole list of shi..... er stuff that she wants me to do this weekend, mostly involving gardening and other work.

To top it all off to finish the weekend I have to go and watch a load of guys on push bikes who have got the entire local area closed off, and unlike the motorbikes I may have been to see in years gone by as a young man, there wont even be a "fast girls" tent! **

**Seriously I would love to go but cant, but have fun and good luck to whoever enters the competition.

"I want to go to Lavecon because... it sounds like fun but if I leave to go... I'm afraid someone might gank me along the way and steal my tickets!

(seriously I can't go, thousands of miles of ocean and land to cover..)

I'm a game developer, love elite, and it sounds wonderful...
but I can't because I just got laid off :/ Downsizing is not all that great.

best of luck to the rest of you to win though!

I'd love to go, especially before release whilst the community is still smallish, but Lavecon will be there next year and the Tour won't.

Sorry, OT, this isn't a thread about why we can't go.
Well, it's not supposed to be.

Have a great time everyone, I'm not jealous in the slightest ...

I want to ask a really important question and hear 'soon' in person ;)

I want to go to LaveCon because...

"I've already bough my LaveCon ticket and paid for accommodation"

I want to go to LaveCon because if I don't get a free ticket the Mrs will veto me and my intentions of attending ;)

Myself & my brother were two of the luckies that won tickets.

Went yesterday & had a great day.

Thank you Frontier.

Many thanks Frontier and Lavecon

I'm writing this at Lavecon, so far it has been a delightful and insightful experience!

Yesterday was especially interesting listening to live QA session with FD team. Check it out at Lave Radio.

Watching some of the fans playing the game, made me realise the limitations of my piloting skills; I'll have to practice a bit before I can use the brave words of Michael Brooks "Bring it!". (i'd take that as a green light for griefing!)
