I've had an insanely frustrating issue regarding recording clips with Windows game bar (Windows key+G), and I found on various threads that many had suffered the same issue - but none had found a permanent solution.
At least in my case, the Game bar simply refused to record both mic input AND game sound (or other sound sources for that matter) at the same time - it was always one or the other. Tried all sorts of different combinations, and found out that in my case the following works every time:
In Windows game dvr settings
Record audio: ON
Turn on mic automatically: OFF
Only record game audio: OFF
Game bar settings
Audio to record: ALL
Then, at the start of the recording, turn on the mic manually, either by clicking the mic symbol in the game bar or by pressing Win+Alt+M.
Works for me every time, hopefully it will work for others too.
