Hardware & Technical Windows 10 update howler

How about this wonderful tech advice from Micro$oft about their latest foul-up in W10 updating:

"Some customers using Windows 10 have reported difficulties connecting to the internet," said a spokeswoman for Microsoft.
"As a first step, we recommend customers restart their PCs.
"If this does not resolve the problem, visit our website for further support."

What genius allowed that to be issued?

The kind of genius that uses a smartphone?

Seriously just spat out my tea all over my screen!

Bah hahahahahahaha

Seriously though, most people have tablets, phones, other computers, smart TV's, Xbox's, PS4's, friends, etc it's not as daft advice as it first appears.

I do appreciate that, what I was referring to was the dumb way it was put across, it reads basically stupid without any clarification.

Reminds me of when my landline Phone stopped working.

Recommended method on the website to get a solution was to phone the help desk......

I ordered ink cartridges on a website because my printer was totally empty. But to take the package in the deposit, I have to present a withdrawal form that I must print at home

:)
