Hey folks, I just dusted off my gaming rig that I hadn't used since September 2021. I've been on an iMac since then so haven't played any games. I got all the Win10 updates done and it's bugging me to update to Win11. One of the reasons I came back to Windows was so I could play ED again. So the question is are there any known issues with ED and Win11? The OS has been out long enough hopefully any bugs have been squashed. System specs are an Alienware Aurora R11, i9CPU, 32GB RAM, Nvidia 3090 GPU

Newcomer / Intro Windows 11 with Elite Dangerous?

No, thank you, I've been there: fedora is a beta for Red Hat linux: each next update could mean that everything is broken. Again.But if you wanna install a fancy version of Fedora Linux that is great for gaming

No problem with win11 for any game, for me. Go for it, cmdr.
ED runs fine on Windows 11 for me.
Thanks for the responses. I went ahead and upgraded to Win11 and I actually like it. ED plays fine.
Note to returning players, especially ones like me that haven't played in two years: Print out or pull up on a side monitor a copy of your joystick/throttle bindings. I did not do that. Started the game in my Corvette and I sure wasn't going to risk that so I switched into a smaller (and cheaper) ship. 1st problem was the limpets, I had to remember how to jettison and destroy. Then I was able to transfer into the small ship. I cheated and used auto-launch after setting my Fleet Carrier as destination. So now I'm clear of the station. I realize I have no idea of how to initiate super-cruise. After 10 minutes of help files and finally digging out the PDF file I found it. After that it was fairly easy to dock at the FC. I'm going to do some tutorials again before I subject myself to combat. I need to find out what companion programs/websites have changed but I'll check the other threads. I updated ED Market Connector but when the Frontier site popped up for authorization I just got "404" errors.

Running through the tutorials is a great way of relearning where controls are and how to use stuff.
With ED Market Connector the FDev capture/approval window is missleading as it doesn’t close or finish properly, after using it for the first time just look at the EDMC window to check that authentication has worked at the bottom of the window then close the FDev screen.
EDDB the data base has been closed down by its creator, third party tools that used it are now broken or using alternatives.
