Windows 7 DK2 with AMD fx 6350 8gb GTX 970

I am sure this isn't the first post like this, but I wanted to know if I should get ok Eliteangerous experience with this setup: Windows 7, DK2 with AMD fx 6350 8gb GTX 970, or will my CPU and or 8gb bottleneck me? Thanks!

Your RAM is fine, 8GB is more than enough. Not sure about the CPU - obviously you've learned that it's a potential bottleneck in some games however from what I've heard Elite isn't that hard on CPU and works mostly fine on AMD. Obviously you'll be dropping settings with the Rift and you'll likely need to lower shadows anyway, which are normally the hardest hit on CPU.

I'm running on 8GB ram - absolutely no drive to upgrade it for more. Can ED address more than 4 as a 32 bit application?

2.2 GB is the 32-bit limit I believe. Most I've seen Elite use is about 800 Mb.
