Windows Anniversary is trash. I spend more time troubleshooting Elite than playing it.

Here we go again. Been out and about and to my amazement, my PC updated while I was away. Lo and behold, windows couldn't detect my drivers, so I had to edit a few .ini files so the Nvidia installer would notice that I do indeed have a 980ti.

Come to find out, all of the Nvidia drivers would cause ALL VR games, including Elite, to crash within 5 minutes.

After a bit of research, I realized that the only stable driver is all the way back to 369.09. HOWEVER, this has introduced the damn bug where lights flicker on the periphery of the Vive. I don't know what my aim is with this post. I have literally spent the past month trying to gain the optimal Vive/Elite experience to no avail. I'm mostly just bothered about the radio silence from FDev and need to vent.

If anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears.

Well, I did not wait this long like you did, after the first game crash I did a clean Windows reinstall. Works like a charm, even the driver crash trouble with the overclocked EVGA card seems to have disappeared.
