Be aware, I purchased the HP WMR with controllers and after updating Win 10 to Fall Creators update, Bluetooth adapter would not work to pair the controllers.
I had to roll back to my previous Win 10 build (you only have 10 days in which to do that after install of Creator update, otherwise you have to download an ISO image of Win 10 Creator update to re install), after rolling back I paired my controllers and then re installed Creators update and all work fine.
On another note, with the WMR Portal, when you have it open on your desktop and it says "Headset off" and "Controllers off" that means your headset will work when worn, switching those on will transfer display to your Monitor as it is a "Simulation". Took me a few days to work that out,
.
Not tried my WMR with Elite yet (only in the Portal) as I feel I am getting better resolution with my Rift.
Hope my info helps.
