Wing core mining - help

Quick question, about to take a friend core mining, just showing him how to set up firegroups and talk him through a few things..We usually wing up for other missions. Read somewhere that being in a wing will cause issues whilst mining, anyone seen this happen?

As an aside you don't have to actually be in a wing to help him out right?

Last time I (deep core) mined in a wing, two issues kept occuring:

1) the deep core mining interface (in the comms tab) would generally only show for one of us, sometimes for noone even.
2) when shooting at surface deposits with the abrasion blaster, fragments wouldn't spawn at the location of the surface deposit but a few kilometers out.

We only hunted for motherlodes, so no idea how subsurface behaves in a wing.

Yeah, it screws up everything.

Charge interface that doesn't work right, yields not spawining.

Mine each other's instance, not in a wing. You don't get shares from core wing mining like you do with laser mining, anyways.
