Wing Invites Not Working For Me

Hello all,

The other day I was on ED playing with a friend and everything was working just peachy. I went off for a short while, came back and they couldn't invite me to a wing. What happens, is the invite goes out and you are able to cancel it but the other doesn't receive it. This happens whether they invite me or I invite them. We can see each other in the same station, shoot at each other, use the in game chat, and we can establish voice comms. We also checked CQC and it looks like it starts joining us together and then bails with a connection error. If we go on any other game we can still play together so to me it points at an issue with ED. Both with open NATs. Any suggestions?

I appreciate that I'm new to this forum so if this post is misplaced please could someone point me in the right direction if this is so.

Good Hunting,

When you first spawn in from the menu, hyperspace to another system, then invite the person, while they are invited send a voice call and cancel the voice call straight away. A little arrow should now appear next to the invite :)

Thanks for your suggestion, I must admit I'm not in a place to be able to try it but I shall do it when I can and post an update here. If it works then you are a life saver. Right now my wing bounty hunting has stopped and it sucks :(

Also to add, if two of you are in a wing and a third tries to join but my trick doesn't work, you will need to leave the wing and then invite both the players and it should work straight away. My friends and I have many hours troubleshooting and found these solutions :)

Make sure you and your partner whom you are trying to invite go into your Settings > Network settings and check what NAT type is shown in the settings. If it says anything other than Open for Both of you. Go Test connection and when that finishes Press LB+RB+RT+LT together. After it completes check your NAT type again. If this doesn't work check online using your route model on how to Open your NAT or Port forward for xbox one.

Restarting your Router will fix NAT problems. (From my experience)

Ok thanks, will try later when I'm in. As for nat type and port forwarding, the nat type is fine for both and the ports are forwarded on my router as required. When I've had nat issues, I haven't been able to even join an Xbox one party. Everything works perfectly except joining each other in CQC and wing invites despite the fact we can still fly together, shoot each other and use the in game chat and voice comms. It's a bit odd.
