Wing missions not proffitable?

Hi All,

I was flying boom delivery with a friend of mine. We needed to ship 2700T cargo to a planet nearby. He flies A T6 and I fly a Python. It took us alot of time to complete and we both got the full mission award. If I fly boom delivery as a single pilot I get 2.5 for 1 run sometimes. I feel the wing missions are fun but not proffitable. What do you guys think or are we doing something wrong?

Profitability for wing delivery missions is VERY low on a payout/leg basis. I have used it several times to get wingmates a lot of money for single hop contributions, but that meant I did 7 hops in my Cutter to prep for them with no payout along the way.

Have been looking at using wing missions as filler for excess cargo when doing multiple mission-stack runs between bases (e.g. Tun and LHS 535), but with a 24-hour mission timers it can take a LOT of game time to finish just one.

Given that I used to be able to make 12-15M/cr per mission stack between Tun and Moros, a wing mission that gives me 6.7M cr for SEVEN 760T roundtrips is a massive reduction in earnings. MASSIVE.

The wing delivery missions are not nearly as profitable as the solo delivery missions. With a Python, you can get solo missions to deliver 120T of gold or palladium that pay 4 - 8 million. The wing assassination missions do tend to pay more than the solo assassination missions, but you need to have either superb flying skills or a highly engineered ship to be able to complete it by yourself.
