When I started playing ED there were some great paying Wing Missions available. I joined a Squadron and they helped me gain currency by working those missions. The great thing about them is they require communications between the Wing members. Where else can you get that kind of camaraderie in this game? Someone must have complained and the Wing Mission Payouts got nerfed. Now we have Mining (a solo activity) to garner currency. Profitable but not inclusive! Please bring back good paying Wing Missions! If you consider the pay between mining solo and running Wing Missions to collect whatever you can see the constructive reasons for offering high paying Wing Missions. Sure, keep the Mining payouts but bring back high paying Wing Missions so Squadrons can work together to help their new members get some income!

I just completed a Wing mission (did it Solo as in by myself cos I could - but flew in Open
) to get 1168T of Palladium for a payout of 37,042,696. So yes there are decent missions out there, you just can't expect every mission to be like that. Edit: In case you were wondering, the Mission was rated Tycoon.

Firstly, I gather you missed my edit - I did the mission as a solo pilot, i.e. not part of a wing - sorry for any confusion.
Look I thoroughly agree, most wing missions pay peanuts for a single Commander and definitely not worth their time. Just every now and again one good one does pop up. It is up to the individual Commander to work out whether the reward is worth the effort. In the case of the mission I just completed - yes, 3 flights to the source station in my Corvette (400T capacity) with good enough trade going the other way to partly pay for the Palladium. Ended up making a profit of 26,960,201 credits, which was good enough for me.

Yep, true but that equates to a 8 mil payout remember!
I would prefer wing missions that made some kind of logical sense.
Wing mining is one of the best things you can do in a group (the laser kind, the core kind is buggy).
