Wing Search & No mission stacking

I like ED and really would like to see some things changed:

- Can't we get a wing member searching system so that wing mates will be transferred to the hosts star system and when leaving the wing placed back to the system they have been before. It would make it easier to look up for wing mates rather than using discord to find other members.

- Also transfering ships from one star port to another should not take any time but still costs some credits. (Speeds up things when playing in Wing)

- i would like to have much more payouts for missions instead the ability of mission stacking. Stacking takes too much time. (i now there are tools for it but i want higher payouts instead)

- Also increased amount of high grade materials from HGE's. Would be awesome so we don't need to use login/logoff glitch when farming mats!

- The rewards we get from Powerplay should be revised. The rewards don't make much sense to me right now. Also credits payout should be much higher for each Grade

i think i had some more points to mention but i don't remember right now.... okay, here they are:

  • new mission types (maybe escort missions, search for certain, seldom plants or lost data/goods within a search radius )
  • some new ships and the ability to jump long distances with a fully equipped ship!)

Wing search, Looking for Crew feature?

Yes please.

You should be able to host "lobbies" for players to join, either in Open Play or an ad-hoc Private group, and post quests that people can help you on. However, I'm not sure on how balanced being able to quickly teleport (worst case) 3 combat FDLs into your instance is. I'm not sure that transferring to the hosts system and then popping back to your own will be received well by other players.
Maybe with Odyssey spawning your commander in the host's ship would be ok, but being able to bring your own ship along could be abused pretty easily. Would need to be thought through very carefully.

Ship transfers... yeah I would love for them to be faster rather than instant. I believe they are too long as it is, but instant again provides opportunities for you to zip across the bubble in a bubble taxi, then (essentially) teleport your engineered combat ship straight to you. Shorter times, but definitely not instant. Again, would require some thought and testing.

Mission stacking sucks. Credits and economy is incredibly broken. Honestly it requires a total rebalancing in my opinion. However I do agree that individual missions that pay out better are preferable to stacking just to abuse loopholes (wing pirate massacres)

If missions pay out engineer mats well - maybe increase those rewards a bit more, and traders are used, you wouldn't need to HGE farm as much. Plus, we already got engineering mat drops tripled. "Back in the day" it was one per drop, not 3. Anything to "fix" relogging instances would be good though.

And I can't comment on powerplay, since I only really dabbled in it to get the packhounds :D

Hi JTFireblaze, nice to read that you mostly agree to my suggestions. Yes, you might be right spawing together with other wingmates in Open would not be okay. But maybe for an instant private group would be okay. Frontier, please consider making these changes to the base game especially when Odyseey joins we want a polished overall gaming experience!

No, not a transfer, but limited to within 60 LY. And no auto-teleport. You will have to negotiate a meeting point and jump to it manually. Also, punishments for griefing/ganking teammates must be severely elevated (up to game ban) to deter abuse of the LFW system.

No, it breaks immersion. Fly manually instead. It's much quicker than getting a transport.

Two topics: Game balance and game longevity.

I'd rather see the relog tricks getting patched.

Powerplay is at an identity crisis anyway. Rebalance of rewards should rather wait until it gets a proper facelift that doesn't exclude a player base in a way many proposed before.

Most of your problems are solved by getting a Carrier.

My discord is always in the same system as me.
My ships are always right there.
I can jump long distances with fully fit combat ships.

It took all of 4 days to get. First day was spent earning a python from a hauler and getting the v1 fsd. Then 3 days spent running passenger missions.

As for mission staking... no this is far better and more believable than just really high paying missions. for courier, trade, mining, source, data, and passenger missions it makes far more sense that an economy would form around the idea of many individual parties putting up small amounts of money for the same or similar tasks that on their own wouldn't be worth it for the pilot to do but together make it worth while. A lot of the missions already border or surpass the "why don't you do this yourself for that much" I mean 4 mill just to do one jump look at a pretty planet and go back for you and 8 friends?

It also doesn't take very long like you claim. Jumping to 2-3 stations can normally hit your mission cap. as for resources they were a mistake from the get go and will never be balanceable as people will always find an exploit that gets them faster.

"Just grind non stop for 4 days straight and then you can have some of the quality of life improvements you seek."

What does Robigo pay these days? I'll assume around 150M an hour? So... 150M * 40hrs = 6Bn. 40 hours of running passenger missions. Just so you can more easily play with your friends.

For the record, I think that Fleet Carriers are probably priced fine. The time and effort to unlock them is mostly fine. Would I like to see a smaller, cheaper version for those less dedicated players? Sure. But I don't think this is really great advice for someone that just wants to wing up with friends easier for some pew pew action.

40hrs/ number of friends. It's really not that tall of an ask. also for what you want it's only 5.25-5.5 You can also make money far faster if you aren't starting from an adder. With a type 9 I easily make ~200m/hr off trade routes 100-150 on slow days but when thats the case I can easily make it back mining. Like wise with 4 people you can easily each make 400m/hr on wing combat missions so 5.5b/ 400m = 13.75hrs / 4 players 3.4 hrs + an hour or two of transferring cash and you are looking at a carrier in just under 6 hrs.

Fleet Carrier are nice, except that they are deconstructed when you're not paying the taxes. It would be more pleasant if they would just be disabled for that period of time!

the tax is extremely minimal a full service carrier takes less than 700m a year on standby. If you only have outfitting and shipyard its less than 500m so very easy to make in a day if you use exploity methods or about a week of casual play. The only reason your carrier went by by is because you didn't bother to put in the cash to its bank.

If you know you are going to be gone and don't want to bother with the upkeep you can sell it off get all your money back and then re-buy once you are back. Keeps the game less cluttered not just in UI but on the servers end tracking things.
