Wing-up & Bounty Huntin' for big Bounty CMDRs

I've been practicing my dog fighting skills BHing at RES and elsewhere. I think I'm ready to Wing-up and go for some of these "Top Bounties"! you know the 1-Billion CMDR bounties that are out there on the top 5 lists (Drool)!

Anyone else ready to wing up?

Good luck finding them, they're in Solo.

I've had an idea for my 3 friends and I. What we could do is have 3 fighter ships pirate a type 6 and get the type 6 to drop all its cargo. Then the 4th ship of the wing - a type 6 itself comes in to collect all the cargo.

A type 6 can hold in excess of 100 tons of cargo depending on outfitting. It wouldn't be possible to scoop all that up before the cannisters degrade.

A type 6 or 7 as a cargo carrier might work, but you'd still be limited to asking for realistic amounts - otherwise the trader is just as likely to run/fight/self destruct.

I'm wondering about the instancing and combat logging.....

Is it even possible to find these guys & get them before they logoff-ski?

Still good luck finding them, you have to get lucky. You'll be sitting at their last known location for maybe an hour or 2 while they're offline. Then you'll do something else.

cruising around last night with my son we decided to investigate a strong signal source, found lots of gold. We were trying to decide whether or not to pick it up when we were suddenly attacked by five vessels with the words "fooled you" in the comms. They stripped my shields down to 15% in seconds and I barely made it out alive. FD owe me for my laundry bill.... This is great

I am NOT going to name him (and not just for the forum rules), but at least one of the big bounty commanders does play in the open. I met him (I was not bounty hunting), I did not, at that time, know he had a bounty well over 1Mcr, and (because I normally say Hi to any commanders I encounter) we had a good text chat.
