Wing Voice Comms Help

I just winged up for the first time and it worked fine, apart from voice comms. I just have a webcam/microphone combo which works fine for Skype. That should work in ED, no? I could see the 'waveform' when I was talking, but my wing-mate couldn't hear me (and I couldn't hear him). I tried toggling the mic, checked the volume etc., but couldn't see anything obviously wrong.

Any tips? Should I shut-down Skype first? (some apps have a habit of 'stealing' the webcam/mic!)

Have the same problem OP, so would be very interested to hear how to fix?

The two guys I was in a wing with didn't have a mic, but I think they should still be able to hear me???
