Wings and Trading and Sharing profits...

It's unbelievably bugged. Sometimes it just doesn't work and you have to repeatedly reform the wing and/or log off and relogin to get them to pay you.
I've found that if you're having problems with friends joining wings, never receiving wing invites, not sharing profits and so on it can be cured by the irritating procedure of all of you leaving the game, coming back in, all sending each other an in game text message then one person sends out all the wing invites.
Hopefully this is one of the things that will be fixed in 1.4

Trading wings don't work. Low priority because it is not PvP.

They have worked every time I have used them, 2 to 4 in the wing all gaining the 5% from each other.
They work for me, but I only play in Open so I don't know about Group.
Also, were you in the same system when the trading (selling) took place? The dividend is only awarded to ships protecting the trader, which must be in the same system. Two wing members in a wing, trading on the opposite sides of the galaxy, have no way to protect each other, therefore there is no reason for them to receive dividends.

Has been a bit buggy for myself and a mate, although only grouped a couple times so far.
I'm trying to help him get up on his feet, so he's following me around while I do the trading.
Yes we're in a Wing and both in the same system.
It worked the first couple of trades after we first formed the wing for him selling cargo I dropped for him - I got some dividends.
Since we left that station and moved on to more profitable routes, it's not working.
Haven't tried to reform the wing yet, but shouldn't really have to.

Yep, same thing has been happening to me....paid for the game twice so my son and I can play together and trying to level him up a bit via the wing trading mechanism...it is intermittant at best...last night it looked like whist the wing was formed ok, when I jumped back into the system he was in and sold my cargo and discovery data, he got nothing...and it looked like we may not have been in the same instance, so I put it down to that.
The other day though, he sold some cargo and I got a trade dividend, then I sold my cargo, and he got nothing.
Go figure.

Trading in wings does work. Although there are problems getting everyone hook up with the wing in the first place, never had problems with the ptofit share.
Low priority because it isn't pvp? What a load of tosh.
