EDIT: I have been told the Federation are working on this cycle's priorities and will have them out soon. When that occurs I will update this post to match or petition the mods for its removal, as per my original intention.

The Federation's press secretaries seem to be on vacation right now, it’s quite concerning. Is everything ok? Is Hudson’s turmoil really this damaging? Last week neither power posted any cycle priorities. As a gesture of goodwill to our long-time enemies in their time of need, I have written the Cycle 364 recap and priorities.

Cycle 362 summary:

My memory of this week is hazy. I did quite a lot of undermining Hudson you see, and it all blends together. I heard a rumor she consolidated? If you did try to expand cycle 362 and didn't get it, sorry!

Cycle 363 summary:

Another week, another weaponized expansion. This time to LHS 5678 – this one would strike massive damage to the Empire and had to be stopped. So we did, using the same technique as cycle 362. We (the Empire) received more pushback this cycle than the previous one – Federal underminer hunters were able to successfully deny several thousand merits. At the end of the cycle with 2 systems remaining for us to undermine before we were certain Winters would fail the expansion, Dciskey surprised us and a brawl quickly brewed. The feds and the imps both posted up in Kanati, and two simultaneous 4v4 battles were fought while our underminers finished the systems.

In other news:

In the two previous weeks, Hudson lost 11 more control spheres. A new Winters press secretary was elected… where are you? I can’t do this every week, please come back.

Voting:

Winters does like her weaponized expansions, and that requires a Preparation vote. As an Aisling Duval powerplayer, I don't really understand the concept of a Preparation vote, but different strokes for different folks, I guess.

Fortification:

From previous weeks, Winters requests that commanders do not fortify any systems. These priorities are "ever changing" and "cannot update quickly" which seems a little odd, but nevertheless you can get the most up-to-date fortification list from the FUC discord.

Preparation of new systems:

Pretty please dont? It would mean a lot to me as Imperial--Federal Press Secretary if you didn't prepare another system that eats into our CC. If Federal Leadership replies with a system to prep I will edit this post.

Expansion:

I cannot suggest which if any systems to expand to. Winters has one system up for expansion this cycle, but I do not understand Federal strategy, so I do not know if this expansion is desirable. I would never tell users to engage in fifth-column activity so I cannot in good conscience suggest expanding to any system at this time. I will edit the post if the system in expansion is desired.

Undermining:

Torval has an expansion in Warninohan and Patreus has an expansion in LP 878-87. As an Imperial I am partial to our own success, so I ask that you pretty please don't do it? It would mean a lot to me if their expansions were successful. I can't say if Winters desires these systems opposed, so you should join their discord to get the latest undermining targets.

The closest control system to Warninohan is Albicevci at 57ly.

The closest control system to LP 878-87 is Fousang at 80ly.

Expansions are determined by the greater percentage of expansion or opposition at the end of the cycle. You can hit expansions as hard and as long as you like.

If you want more objectives, or to wing up with like-minded and like-pledged players, or to stay up-to-date with the latest Felicia Winters and Zachary Hudson news, you should join their discord. There you can coordinate ops and wings through text or voice. Rumor has it they also have pvp training and free money for those who still haven't unlocked and built a bank tank Corvette.

Diplomatic Overview:

Aisling Duval, Arissa Lavigny-Duval, Zemina Torval, Denton Patreus, and Yuri Grom are all part of the ZYADA coalition, a group of powerplayers who work together and have fun. We think it's great, but the Federation doesn't. They think we're nasty poo-poos and are unfriendly at best and hostile at worst.

Zachary Hudson is Federation-aligned, just like Felicia Winters. If you believe the tabloids, they had some kind of an affair. He's definitely on her side.

Felicia Winters considers all the other powers (Archon Delaine, Edmund Mahon, Pranav Antal, Li Yong-Rui) to be neutral, although I heard rumors Hudson has something going on with Delaine - the rags don't have the full scoop yet.

if there's one thing I've learnt from being in the ED: game, it's never to ignore a pooh-pooh. I knew a Power, who got pooh-poohed, made the mistake of ignoring the pooh-pooh. He pooh-poohed it! Fatal error! 'Cos it turned out all along that the Power who pooh-poohed him had been pooh-poohing a lot of other Powers who pooh-poohed their pooh-poohs. In the end, we had to disband the Power. Morale totally destroyed... by pooh-pooh

I must apologize, the placeholder system name LHS 5678 was not replaced with the actual system name. Nobody in the Empire remembers what Winters was expanding to last week, sorry!

Impersonation requires someone to pretend to be someone else. OP posted on personal title while disclosing their affiliation, which is the opposite of that.

The empire would strongly suggest starting with writing orders for cycle 364 for your own power first, before starting with recaps for cycle 362 and 363 for your own power. You may consider recaps for other powers after that if they have not been posted yet.

These posts make me sad. Have I not made this post in good faith? Have I misrepresented Felicia Winters in some way? I admit I did make some assumptions about Winter’s strategy this cycle – I based it on the previous cycles’ strategies. Perhaps you can correct the action items here so that I may properly update the post:
  • Vote preparation
  • Do not randomly fortify, join the discord for the fortification list
  • Do not prepare any systems (I requested an update on this, none have been forthcoming)
  • Do not 5C an expansion (I requested an update on this, still nothing)
  • Oppose Torval and Patreus’s expansions
  • Join the discord
  • ZYADA is enemy, Hudson is ally, everyone else is neutral

If you would please correct the incorrect bullet points, I will update my post accordingly.

EDIT: I forgot that I forgot the Winters expansion for cycle 363. If you would please provide the name of it, I will replace the placeholder system name.

I would like to mention the value of keeping your community at large informed about your strategy. It is known to me that many people peripheral to an organization require constant feedback and course correction even when the orders remain the same every week - new people are constantly joining, so it is important to repeat the same things over and over. An example of this is in Hudson's subreddit. Two days ago a commander asked if fortifying is good on the cycle 362 priorities post, which was 10 days old at the time. I informed him that Hudson's current strategy is to not fortify anything, and that he should look at the current priorities for guidance. Of course, at the time of me writing that there was a Cycle 364 Priorities post but it seems to have vanished. This is poor communication, your pledges are yearning for updates, but none are forthcoming. This is the exigence of which I undertook the task of writing new priorities posts, so that the Winters- and Hudson-pledged commanders will perform actions you want instead of taking matters into their own hands and inadvertently performing 5C.

At least when we try to (jokingly) tell your people what to do, we try to give them the advice we think you would want them to hear and don't pretend to be you. But go off I guess.
