Yes, it's entirely the tracker's fault. 
I don't wear a headset when playing E: D, as I have surround sound system, so I was wondering what I should do about the tracker unit. I don't tend to wear hats, and the only one I could find was from my pirate costume (don't ask - I'd love to say it was for the kids, but actually I had to force them to wear theirs
).
It works very well. I'm trying to resist the strange compulsions I'm now getting though, which seem to be urging me to buy hatchbreaker limpets... Maybe I should put a tinfoil hat on underneath.
So, if you see a Cutter with an identity crisis over the next few days, it's most likely me...
