Wish VR works well for ED ?

Oculus rift, vive, samsung gear,
Windows VR.... ect... wish works for ED ?
Want to go shop today but don't know wish off them to buy.
So if i could get some feedback from VR cmdr's that would be helpful...

Fly safe o7...

Don't forget to install all of that free stuff too! Some of it might not be available until a day or two after you register your rift with oculus.
There's a surprising amount of stella software which covers so many bases.
Action, art, Google maps Tec

Enjoy

Heads up: i always recommend lowering expectations. Also allow yourself to get used to VR because it can feel oppressive(?) at first.

But when it clicks... wow!! Expectations blown away! :)

I tried to search the net to find an answer: what could be the disadvantage of 'going' with the Oculus Go?
I understand it isn't tracking the movement like if you lean forward or stand up, but it seems that image quality is great for the price. However, the big question is whether it offers the stereoscopic view (sense of scale?), which is to me the biggest advantage of VR.
For the record, I'm considering getting a VR around Q4, mainly (only?) to play Elite.

The oculus Rift doesn't by default have sufficient clearance for wearing glasses inside the visor, however VR Covers make a spacer that adds a few mill between the lenses of the wearers eyes and the lenses of the oculus rift creating room for glasses. As for the lowering your expectations, I assume thats alluding to the screen door effect and the god rays, which are the black out lines of pixels and lens flaring where a dark object adjoins a bright object, HMD supersampling and blur do aleviate the former considerably, and the later, in conjunction with the restricted field of view kind of drop off your perception after a while, though at first from an immersion point of view it helps if you consider your pilot to be wearing a helmet at all times and these abortions are arising from the helmet and its visor.

The disadvantage is that the oculus go isn't meant to connect to pc, so you can only play elite with it using 3rd party hacks. Just get the regular rift when there's a good deal on it. Or one of the "windows MR" headsets, they're sometimes on sale for $200.

Can't speak for the other headsets, but it works fine with the rift... VR ain't my thing but there's no denying it was easy to set up and works pretty well... Depending on your system it can look graphically very nice too.. this is a quick vid of elite running on highest possible settings in vr...
