Wish we had some sort of directional bearings.

Up/down isn't too hard. From the cockpit you should be able to see where Andromeda and the two Magellanic Clouds are. They're pretty easy to spot, and they're all "below" the galaxy. If you orient yourself to that, then you can see if the thing you're looking at is above/below your position.

Ok, this is strange. Appears the Omega Nebula either has shifted or that clump of stars have.

Anyway this is how close I am and will try again to get in there.

Think I am in the zone now and tried picking a target to aim for but lost it. I was aiming for the four stars in a line to the right of 11.4Ly.

But,but, but where is that now that I am closer? Lets try for another target then. Center of that cloud, somewhere near that circle of stars would be great.
Other CMDRs have been through here before me so far.

Well think I'm pretty much done here, been a challenge to get here. Just going to continue back to my original bookmark.
