WMR Acer, can't launch Elite in VR

I just an Acer WMR..

It's working fine exept I can't run Elite in VR!

I've installed Steam VR, Windows mixed reality fr steam, but the game only launch on the desktop the view on the acer stays on the grey empty steam vr room as if the game was loading. When I look on the game options on the desktop there are no trace of the acer...

I've tried sthe star wars droid vr games and it worked just fine...

The headset is on hdmi and the screen is on dvi since I only got 1 HDMI port.
I'm rnning it on GTX 1070...

Install WMR Beta and Steam VR Beta.
On Steam VR Beta, use the Direct Mode.
Install and use de EDprofiler to configure the ED in VR.
Launch the Game by EDprofiler or by Steam (Launch ED on VR).

Thanks for the reply.
I've already tried for the beta, I even tried different combiantions beta/no beta... Not working. I've enbaled direct mde too. Not working.
Also tried ed profiler. Not working. But maybe I'm not using it correctly I've set it to default vr then apply then I've started the game from steam vr.

Here is capture of the ed profiler with the default settings to vr. Mybe I should change the resolution or other stuffs?

I did it!

So WMR for steam in beta , steam vr in beta. Launch steam vr. Then from the desktop launch the game in ed profiler with the settings of the capture. Then launch the game with the mouse in the ED launcher.

And OMG the game is absolutely stunning in VR can't believe it!

Is ther a way to reduce alisaing?

Hi,

Not sure if this will help you or just confuse you, but I had a problem running ED in VR when I got a Pimax 4K headset.

I installed Steam VR but ED would not run in VR.
I could run IL2 Sturmovik in VR even though it was not a Steam game (ED also not being a Steam linked game)

I asked for help on this forum and was advised that ED had to be bought through Steam or transfer it to Steam by getting a key from Frontier, for it to work using Steam VR.

I didn't really want to transfer my copy to Steam, but as there was an ED sale on at the time and I'd been considering buying a second account anyway, I bought a copy of ED through Steam.

I could now play ED on my Pimax 4K VR headset with my Steam copy.
Strange thing is though, that I can now also get VR on my original Frontier copy of ED !
May be because the launcher is shared, and it's just different accounts logged into it, or some other reason, but I'm quite happy that it works for both accounts.

So is your copy of ED a Steam version ?
If not, that may be why you can't get VR.

As I said, this may or may not help ( I know I'm confused by it), but it's all I can suggest.

Edit: I see you had solved the problem before I posted the above. Glad to hear it's working, and yes, ED is quite amazing in VR.
