WMR HMD Mission Board Jitter Fix

Hi there,

Those of you who have WMR have possibly experienced the terrible Mission board jitter (flicker) it can be really bad on any Mission or Passenger board. To fix it you need to make sure that you are positioned in the arrow direction of your Steam enviroment.

For some reason my front direction in steam is different to my centered position in WMR, so when ever there is a loading of mission boards or something similar I would get positional jitter. If I position myself to sit in line with the Steam VR arrow (ie directional seating looking forward in the direction of the arrow) the jitter will go away and scrolling through Missions is a breeze

I hope this helps some of you who are using the WMR HMDs which in my opinion are awesome.

If anybody knows how to change directions/reset direction in Steam VR please let me know, but luckily I can sit in any direction I want (spiny chair )

Doesn't work in my case, it was always aligned, although you are probably right that it might be worse when not centered since it seems the jitter causes a recenter. However, please try to navigate the mission board quickly (scrolling up and down the mission with the key pressed) and looking up and down in your HMD. I am sure you will still see the jitter, but to a lesser extent, which is probably related to reprojection.
