Let me start.
I just got on newegg an Acer VR for 180 bucks (with controllers).
+ less SDE than on Vive/Oculus
+ similar FOV, and in my opinion FOV is good
+ clear and sharp image
+ in my opinion good sweet spot
+ controllers works smooth and perfectly
+ HMD works flawless
- software IDP, adjustable in 59-68mm range. If you have larger or smaller IDP you need to buy a helmet with mechanical regulation like vive/oculus or WMR Samsung Odyssey.
After playing around four years in Elite and with many tries with smartphone VR - what can i say - if you not played Elite in VR, you not played Elite at all.
180 bucks is not much more than pack of cigarettes for 30+ gamer. Worth to give a try - completely much different, more deep, experience.
Update:
Clarity and quality improvement tweak
