Wolves and pack limit

Right now, as it stands, wolves attack their own offspring when they get old enough, I understand that dominance is a thing for these animals, but what has not been taken into consideration is the mechanics to their specific pack type.

Here's the problem:
A male and female wolf can at this point have a couple of pups, When they age, the parents try to take them out. even after they get treated by the vet, are placed back into the enclosure.... The parents start the process all over again.

Fix:
Allow for pack life. Allow these animals to have more then just the mated pair. In the wild and in domesticated situations, these animals have a complex family bond.. Within a pack you have 2 alpha's(1 male and 1 female), 2 beta (1 male and 1 female), what constitutes as the pack, and an omega. and all packs can consist of 3-30 members..Also keep in mind that the only animals in these packs that breed are the alpha and beta pair.

This goes for all wolves, not just one specific type.
