And the irony is that this probably WILL be debated in parliament. Unlike some other important issues reaching over 100,000 signatures and yet still not being debated.
The company only needed to be humiliated to stand down, we don't need to waste tax payers money on this trivial stuff. People are dying.
The issue affects 47% of the UK's workforce. Hardly trivial.
What is the reason for demanding high heels. What is the potential effect of high heels?
Back trouble; risk of ankle sprain / break; puncture wounds to others' feet....
.... or possibly the "aesthetic" effect of forcing some workers (but not others) to wear them....

Formal shoes such as high heels for women in a lot of workplaces is to uphold a standard, no farmer in the office right?
The problem is not about high heels its about the uncomfortableness of any kind of formal shoes, man and woman alike. They are uncomfortable at the start, and after a hour or so they are painful to wear.
This petition even if its passes resolves nothing, because they still forced to wear formal shoes.
They are basically just a piece of leather with rubber footing, and thats it! There is nothing within what make a shoe comfortable.
Why would a shoe require a specific heel height to be considered formal?
This is how we roll, and if you think about it, even a serious man's formal shoes have some heel, about an inch, or so same as the starter of this debate.
