I am an Exploerer at heart and thanks to Elite in various guises over the decades, I have enjoyed Exploration so much I love it but I have only just scratched the surface of this amazing Galaxy.
The Supercruise times have been created to try and give us a feel of realism and by Joeb, it works. I love this Supercruise travelling time and always have done.
With some players arguing that Supercruise is too long and some even fight to get this travelling time cut down or even scrapped, It is needed for most of us who love the Full experience of these realistic travelling times whilst out Exploring.
You never know what the travelling time is going to present to you while out exploring.
On a recent exploration I had the most incredible sight I have never seen while out in deep space... during this, so far hour long Supercruise journey, I came upon this glorious Light of green dust cloud with speckles of lush yellow but then as I peared to my right, I realised, I had company,.. a Thargoid.
The Thargoid kept me company for about 10 minutes before just, turning towards the Greenish light cloud. A server glitch or a programme experiment forgotten?
Cutting travelling time in Supercruise is not the answer CMDR's, New Technlogy is!
We all need to fight for new Engine modules that house faster Supercruise speeds.
I don't want my enjoyment cut just because someone else doesn't like Exploration but I also understand that sometimes, you just want to get things done which is why having the option to turn the Supercruise engines up a notch is a much needed idea. In real life, God doesn't change time because we want to get to lunch time faster but we crazy Genius humans always find away through technology to make things easier. Elite is way out in the future, why can't we have different scales and aged technology in Elite?
