Hardware & Technical Wondering what I'll need for dream PC

He said his budget was unlimited, just stick the best of everything in the build and don't worry about value for money, it's obviously way down on the list of priorities.

There are other considerations besides money. When you build, there is rollout cycle maturity as well. Buying tech late in it's life cycle can be disappointing as well. This was the case last year when many were considering (and buying) the Nvidia 980 GPU's when the 10's were just around the corner.

As I mentioned earlier - 38" monitors are looming as well that may be a better fit with 1080Ti cards soon available.

Also, new chipsets, like the Z270 may need a few BIOS upgrades to work out minor annoyances.

The fact that many of these factors may be coincident with better pricing is just a bonus for a smart shopper.

You're not understanding the concept of an unlimited budget, if something new comes out in a month or so you just buy and fit it, there is no need to try and be clever with the cash. For a while I worked in an industry that maintained a PR/demo department that was required to always have the latest equipment no matter how much it cost, we were refitting every couple of months.

I suspect this guy doesn't really HAVE an unlimited budget and is just a dreamer or he would have walked into a custom PC store and bought a £20k PC by now so it's not worth humouring him but my point stands.

Thank you for clarifying my limitations
