Won't alpha players get fed up of the game prior to release?

As per the title really.

I've been watching the forum since I learned about the game and it already appears that activity levels have reduced, and the number of people posting videos of their creations has reduced in the last months.

Does having access to an alpha risk early boredom - games only have a finite life don't they, when you've played them to their completion that can be it for many?

I don't believe this will happen because as the Alpha progresses more things will be added as well as during the beta.

Don't think so.

Personally i am just not interested in posting videos or pictures at the moment.

I am getting more fed up with all these stupid questions showing up on the forum all day.

- 20 times a day there is a topic, will the game be ready in Q4 2016?
- 20 times a day, we need more content !!
- 20 times a day, where is the water?
- 20 times a day, I am not statisfied with the game

The answer to this question is rather simple, we have maybe 1/10 (?) of the total content/options we can work with, the game is open to much more themes, packages, options. If you are a true fan, you can't be bored.

Lol ok. What would you like to see people post about? Myself I love to see the videos and rollercoaster POVs. I also really like to see how people have approached a problem, design tips, how to's.. etc.

Games for me these days are as much about the community as the game itself.

Some of them seem so simple, but like I was once told was the only dumb question is the one not asked. I want to modify that to "the only dumb question is the one not asked, but not 10 or 20 times!"

People still play RCT3 and even RCT1.... other genres of games get boring/repetitive much faster, but this is the first true sequal weve had in 12 years.... there will be expansions, UGC, mods, etc. and The alpha is not the full game... do you need more?!?

Yes. I do think people will get bored of the alpha: I'm bored of alpha 2 now, but I'm not complaining because, as I've said in numerous threads before, I bought alpha knowing that it wouldn't contain much content. When the game is released it will have all the content and I will probably play for years to come.

Cant the same question be asked about a full release game?
Planet coaster keeps my attention because by the time i'm getting bored, a new Alpha is released.
By the time the full game is released im going to know this game inside and out. So on release day i would have already put hundreds of hours into the game and still have a fresh feel about it. Meaning i will put hundreds more hours into it.

I feel i have already got my money's worth from PLanet coaster and we dont even have 10% of the content.

We're probably waiting for Alpha 3 to come out in August. Then there will be more hype about it just like when terrain tool and a few new rides came out in Alpha 2. What's there not to like about Planet Coaster? It looks pretty, it's a lot of fun, the AI is really cool too. The game is only in Alpha. It's not completed. But Frontier puts the effort to add updates every now and then. It's better than steering at a wall until some time in Q4 2016 or watching others on YouTube having a wooo about the game showing off the awesomeness of the game. It's in Alpha, even though it's unfinished game, it's still a whole heap of fun and well worth the money paying for the Alpha.

Depends on the Person i think. But yes, i think there is a real Danger to get fatigued with a game when you play and play and play and the game isn't out yet. But luckily the way how Planet Coaster is handled, the Danger should be quite low. Because every Alpha Update has enough Content to keep you interested.

I find I don't have the time to play to keep up with my ideas. And that's with limited content. This game inspires me to build so much that there's no chance of running out of steam or getting bored.

Honestly I am a little bored with the game as it stands right now. Not because it's a bad game, it's just I've built four detailed parks with a mixture of coasters and I've reached the limit of what I want to achieve with the tools presented to me! Going to wait until management, extra scenery themes and rides are added before I start playing again. Until then, Overwatch has filled my gaming void and will continue to do so for a while yet! [haha]

I cant wait for alpha 3, blueprints and park management [up] but scenarios and even multiplayer are what Im really waiting for!

Heres my view on it without reading the comments because, quite frankly I can't be bothered ;P

If I had Planet Coaster's alpha right now, I'll probably get a little bored of the content that is being released through the Alpha phase, and then when Planet Coaster is released as a full game, it may feel as if there isn't enough new content (this is a just how I'd feel, I'm not saying others should feel that way) and then when others who have preordered are loving the game and I'd be all like "yea, that was in alpha" I feel like I wouldn't have much to talk about within playing alot of the content already.

Its like when you watch somebody play a game on youtube and get spoilt by all the stuff going on, before playing it yourself, which, I guess I kind of did with Mario Kart 8? not that I watched others play but I watched alot of gamexplain and was kind of spoilt~

It already has multiplayer, the AI [happy] you get to play 'with them'.

There must have been a lot of people who wanted The Sims 3 multiplayer. Even The Sims 4 isn't either. A game doesn't have to have multiplayer to be great.
