One word, my friend: Vulture. That's the meanest small ship you'll ever get.
Now, on the subject at hand of FSD for small ships, I respectfully disagree ATM, despite being in the "small ships > fat bricks" camp. I simply love flying fighter types, but I love consistency even more and I'd think less of Frontier if they simply added small fighters with FSD capability and that's it. If we have some CGs and stuff that added some background to it, like showcasing someone researching and discovering a way to build micro FSDs, then I'd be on board.
And, in the end, I don't care about anything: when 2.3 hits, if we really will be able to share ships with players, I'll abandon everything and become a taipan merc for some annie/whatever captain and never look back.
Yes well, when FD releases a Gutamaya version of the Vulture (one that doesn't look like a flying bug with an horrid cockpit) I'll play the vulture. Won't happen but heh, you never know. The courier is nothing like the vulture sadly, too different..
I've wanted to drive an imperial fighter full time since they came out in CQC and will continue to want to unless Gutamaya releases a new fighter with 9+ maneuv.
For some reason they seem to think that the eagle and the vulture is enough high maneuv. ships in standard.
I get that most of the player base wants flying bricks. I want fast, sleek paper planes. Ones that I can customize that is.
I guess in the meantime I could be happy with the regular eagle modded up, which it would for playability but it looks terrible. The cockpit is just.. not gutamaya.
