As the titel says, I'm just playing INSIDE (fantastic game/Limbo successor) with the Rift CV1 and VorpX's Cinema Virtual Desktop (cinema view).
This is one of the most intense gaming moments that I had for a long time. Playing LIMBO a couple of years ago on my 24" screen was great. But playing INSIDE with the RIFT in cinema mode is super awesome. VorpX works really well. I bought it for GTA V to play it in VR but it doesn't work that great and/or I would have to invest a bit more of time to optimise it. But I'm just realising how great the cinema mode of VorpX is.
I zoomed the virtual screen close to me so that I just can't see the left and the right screen border anymore. So, even that it is 2D, it really drags you right into the game as it is huge in front of you and you dive deep in. I choose the ambient setting for the virtual space so the backend colors behind the virtual cinema screen change to the theme colors which are really deep and dark and the game plays with a kind of a depressive scenario which makes it so awesome. I liked LIMBO already with it's black and white cholor scheme. But INSIDE is even better.
Woohoo! Folks, I you have a Rift and a virtual desktop, spent the few bucks for INSIDE on STEAM and get it. It's 50% (?) off at the moment. It's really worth it.
