Workaround to play with all subsribed blueprints

So we all know now that the Frontier Workshop is a buggy mess, Blueprints that get marked as if they need an update while they didnt get an update. Yes we checked this with creators of blueprints that got marked as updated and they never updated them so it's bugged. Also since we don't have a button to update all blueprints in 1 go and since we don't have a special tab that only shows blueprints got updated we are stuck with a daily chore that returns once per hour in which you have to go through all the pages to update blueprints, not updating them means they will not be available in the game at all. See an example video i made months ago for planet zoo on console which suffers the same issues https://t.co/pc47vCIWtO also same issues on Planco 1 on console and now with Planco 2 on PC.

Now the workaround for those that wish to just play the game and use all their subscribed blueprints without the problem of having to update every hour and yes every hour because once per hour a bunch of blueprints get randomly marked as updated and so you need to update them but i divert, here the workaround for pc only.

Step 1: Update all blueprints that require an update.
Step 2: Close the game
Step 3: Goto your Program Data folder on your PC most of the time this will be C:\ProgramData. In there look for the folder named .Frontier and yes with a . infront. Now copy that entire folder to a different location, COPY do not move.
Step 4: Disconnect internet from your PC.
Step 5: Start the game and enjoy playing with all available

Now why these steps you might ask, well as long as Planet Coaster 2 can communicate with the server it will constantly atleast once per hour mark something as updated and so it will remove it from the game, so since now it cant communicate with the server it will not mark anything as updated. Now incase you have to connect to the internet in between while the game is active you can just turn the game back off, disconnect the internet again and copy the folder you copied back over the original that way nothing got marked as updated.

I seriously hope frontier will fix the workshop issues mentioned above and that they finally listen after many years of asking them and give us a seperate tab for updated blueprints and an update all in 1 go button or make the entire updating automatic at game start. For now the workaround makes me enjoy the game without being troubled, sure I hate having to miss features like sharing parks but o well small price to pay for enjoyment.

Also noticed a little performance increase when playing disconnected.

So here some proof for the frontier team that the workshop is broken and things get automaticly randomly marked as updated.

Another workaround has been found with which you can stay online, took me some time to figure out.

Follow the following steps

Step 1. Start your game and install any new blueprint you want but do not update any of the blueprints you already have in your myworkshop subscriptions
Step 2. Close your game
Step 3: Goto your Program Data folder on your PC most of the time this will be C:\ProgramData. In there look for the folder named .Frontier and yes with a . infront.and in that folder delete the file that ends with .userinfo
Step4. Start your game back up but DO NOT GOTO WORKSHOP just go and play your game

Now enjoy all blueprints again including your newly subscribed ones

make sure you do this after everytime you entered the workshop or blueprints that got randomly marked as updated will not be in your game, frontier needs to start fixing this issue yet they choose to completely ignore the workshop problems we reported in their news update today

if you want to automate this, create a .bat file with simply making a new notepad file name it whatever you want and change the .txt to .bat now edit that file and place the following in there

c:
del "C:\ProgramData\.Frontier\21\Kepler\*.userinfo
START steam://rungameid/2688950

offcourse change the drive letters to whatever you use on your pc.

using that I now enjoy the perfect game without the hassle of constant updating blueprints until frontier decides to fix the mess of a workshop.

Better yet. Don't play this overhyped, alpha version POS.

I have to amend my comment because, despite all the myriad issues with the game, I'm still playing it. Guess I'm a glutton for punishment. lol

So i been looking more into what is going on with the constant issues with the workshop, from the looks of it when you subsribe to a blueprint it downloads the meta files and stores the info what you subscribed to in the .userinfo file, now the problem with the workshop is that it randomly marks blueprint as if they got updated while in reality it never got updated by the creators as show in evidence posts above. Now what I been doing is make constant backups of .userinfo file and each time I subscribe to new blue prints i copy the sunscriptions numbers of the back .userinfo and paste that behind the numbers of the new .userinfo file and then I have access to all blueprints. It sure is messed up having to do this but it is the only way to keep on using everything without having to click update 30 times a day and without having to go through over 200 pages 30 times a day. Frontier need to fix this nonsense since this issue been going on since Planco 1 on console and i been telling them about it for months that it was present in planet zoo but they simply ignored it.
