Workshop items not showing up in game [Steam]

Greetings.

I am not sure if this fits here, I did make a similar post on Planet Zoo's steam, but got no reply, and not gonna lie I am a little confused and slightly agitated so thought I'll try here.

Been downloading lots of different items from the workshop on steam that other people have created, but for some reason it won't show up in the game. I have made sure it wasn't due to a filter issue and I also restarted the game many times, yet they just won't show up.
If I remove an workshop item that is already in game, it does disappear so there is a connection between steam and the game, since I play Franchises it needs a connection anyway, but yeah.
The weird part is that each time I boot the game it "updates" the game, and it doesn't seem to be a workshop upgrade but a game update. At least it takes me to the update page if I click. Also I had no issues download items prior to the newest update/DLC
Since I can't see any post with this problem, I assume I'm an idiot somewhere, but I just can't seem to figure out what/where the problem is.

Would adore some help or suggestions.

Maybe the workshop items are maps ? Recently, I saw a lot of nice things in the workshop and thought it was habitat, but then I saw a comments saying it was a map and thus it could only be open in Sandbox...

Yup, also own all the DLC etc.

I found out what the problem was tho, apparently for some reason some files were missing (item file in steam workshop were missing) as well as it couldn't update due to a appupdateerror 42. Meaning that my steam had gotten corrupted and I had to do a full re-installation of steam. After that was done steam was able to download the files again.
So basically this had nothing to do with Planet Zoo it was a steam issue. I apologise.
