Worth buying CHC after early access?

From a logical standpoint, that would definitely make the most sense. However, this brings up the original point of this thread; what is the purpose of CHC after early bird is released? If all information related to the further development of the game will take place in the new early bird forum, what again is the point of the CHC forum? This has just been confusing since day one and would love a detailed clarification on this.

Another thing to think about is will this hypothetical early bird forum be closed to the public, open to the public, but only postings allowed by early access owners, or just completely public where everyone can post?

So why not offer an Early Bird and CHC bundle which doesn't include the T-shirt or wrist band for, say, an extra £10 on top of the Early Bird price. I'm not willing to spend £25 for something that all I'd have to show for it at launch is a t-shirt and wristband I don't want. And no disrespect to non Early-Bird owning CHC members, but wouldn't it not be more useful to Frontier to have a forum and closer ineraction with the people who are actually using the product leading up to launch? I think there's probably a lot of Early Birds out there who either can't afford or can't justify buying both.

Saying that, if we a choice of getting a barrel to wear instead of a T-shirt I'd be in quicker than a rat up a drain-pipe.

This is perfect. But i kinda want the T shirt and wristband :/ There is a Pre order + CHC so why isn't there a Early birds + CHC?

CHC is about receiving updates on new content/behind-the-scenes media etc. before that info is released publicly (if at all). There's also the chance to get involved in Q and As with the devs (which eventually are moved into the public forum)/fun polls such as 'Name the Mascot' to go with the merchandise and other things. The early bird forum will be more about updates relating to things that have already been shown that you will get the chance to experiment with in future EA releases. No reason to make the EA forum public access also.

It's the direct interaction with the devs which I would think is really important for Early Birds. Both the players and the devs would benefit.
The Q&A sessions would benefit too if Coaster Heads and Early Birds were both involved. This is because all 3 groups of people can see different sides of the development and could be asking things and having ideas the other groups wouldn't have thought about. This kind of fertile thinking ground could only be a good thing.

And Tilly_Tony, if an idea like my earlier one was implemented, how about them selling merchandise on the buying page. That way, anyone could buy a T-Shirt or wristband whether they're Coaster Heads or not. This way we can totally tailor our purchases.

+1 to this. Would also like to see some figures. A King coaster, Dino mascot figure ect. Would make great desk ornaments.
Or is my geek getting out of control again! :/

Sorry for de-railing this thread but as well as the King Coaster balloon idea I had that Sawyer so kindly and brilliantly did a mock-up of, I REALLY want a Gulpee figure NOW. It would look great on my desk. It's your fault Tilly-Tony spending my money lol. In fact, if they made a good quality diorama like the 3D rendering of Gulpee with the park guests on the main Planet Coaster page, I'd buy it in a shot. In fact, if the CHC was sold with better merch, like this, I'd probably be more likely to buy it, even at a higher price.

Im really sorry :S Hahaha.
But i do hope they bring out something as we all know it will be popular.

I already have all 12 Doctors proudly sat on my desk with enough room for a couple mascot figures.

And my niece would love a Gulpee plushie :D

Thats another thing the other team missed out on.
We dont even have this game in our hands yet and we already have characters that have personality and stand out.

^ I know. They've done a brilliant job here. The park mascots are great and could generate merchandise. I think we should start a thread.

On a side note. Could you get me a full-size Weeping Angel? I want one at the far end of my garden under the cherry tree.

I would like a Planet Coaster badge as well, a metal gold colored one resembling the CHC logo. I would wear it on occasions. [happy]

Something like the Elite:Dangerous badge would be great: Pin badge
