Worthy Free Voice Attack Voice packs for Elite

I just got the VA program and im using anubis but i'd like to find some more that i can use with different commands and what not so i can switch when i change ships, to mix things up a little. But i cannot use KICs 3 as i cannot get the binds file from their no longer active site. anyone got any reccommendations of FREE ones? I just spent 70$ on getting the Xpack + Voice attack... which was more than i wanted to spend. *If an admin sees this post can you change the word in the title from Worthy to Great? I got mixed up with my words when i typed it.*

Worthy free stuff. Worth what exactly, the whole huge amount of nothing you'll likely pay for it? Or is your time worth that much, you could be making thousands during the time you may choose to spend looking for and trying free stuff people created just for the heck of it?

What will happen if you find free stuff that's worthy? Will you appreciate the effort that went into that worth?

Look up KICS3 on google. That will give you plenty of links to learn about the KICS Voice pack for Elite that seems the best in my opinion and it is free

Here are the 3 I use myself. They are very good and very worthy. I have no problem with that term, it's a very worthy term. These work well and worthy of your enjoyment. You may have to manually redo the key/gamepad triggers for some of the worthy commands, but it is not that difficult.

I found the KICS Ripley pack the most worthy as it worked the best, with minimal tweaking, closely followed by SARA. SARA is a bit more minimal, in terms of what you can say or do, but she does what you need and is quite funny and worth having.

You can make your own worthy versions, using Text To Speech software, but you will be at it for weeks. That is not worthy of your time.

I tried various voice packs but none of them had the full range of responses that I was after. I ended up purchasing a voice (Cereproc's Heather) and using text-to-speech and it sounds great and allows me to create whatever responses I need without being constrained by what has been recorded.

I've been trying to catch up with you about keybinds for KIC 3. I've got your VAP file and sound files all working but trying to figure out all the entries needed to make them all play in harmony with ED,is driving me nuts.

Having seen your message from the 25th that you might get back into the fray this weekend I tracked down your Ripley Galactic entry "News" of a KICS 4.0.

Well, I can't wait to see that forthcoming but, if you can find a moment to send me your bind file for it, i'd sure appreciate it. Brand new to ED, haven't even got all my keys mapped yet.

My advice if you're planning to use KICS plenty (and you should) - DON'T work on a custom mapping for your binds, since you'll then have to go through the KICS profile in VA and manually edit a whole bunch of commands. Like I did. Much better to just learn the phrases available and keep tweaks to the things that KICS doesn't have commands for. That or things that may be urgent e.g. I mapped SCB's to the + sign on my numpad, in case she doesn't hear me and I have to stab at my keyboard urgently to stop my shields going down...

Since I've cleared the binds to work on KICS 4 - I am literally starting from scratch - I don't have the binds for KICS 3 saved. Trust me though, I gave out the binds file with KICS 1 and 2 and it caused more havoc than you'd think, people Controllers weren't working and they needed to go through and rebind everything anyway!

The easiest thing to do is to open up the bindings page in Elite, click on each command and say the command. You can do this on the secondary bind, meaning that your first bind is the key that you would usually use. When doing this, just make sure to check whether the command is unbinding anything else.

KICS 4 will have as unique binds as possible, meaning everything will be prefixed with ALT SHIFT CTRL etc, hopefully not overriding any existing commands.

WOW, having just put in Kics 3 (Thanks for your PM's and Help) i can FULLY recommend KIC 3.

Can't bloody wait for 4....Get working on it

. Be nice if you had it out for Christmas, 1.5 update, Horizons and the KICs 4!!! All my Christmases at once!

KICS3 is the best.....even has all the ED radio stations on command,and your own music mix of faves if need be,and all the usual voice commands and more!
the fella that made it could have made money from it easily....better than astra and her star trek Vulcan waffling
