Would a RAMDISK help for playing ED

Hi folks, i was just wondering whether a RAMDISK would help in any way in the execution or gameplay of ED.
Would it help to put TMP TEMP files pointing to the RAMDISK, and to point the PAGEFILE to it also ?
Also would there be any benefit to actually install ED onto a RAMDISK.
Thanks for your input...

RAMDISK was a kludge from before cache in the HDD and solid-state HDD became available. Are you needing a performance improvement on older hardware?

Try looking up 64GB OCZ SSD and see if you see anything which would more than suffice.

Frontier have already said that they plan to make Elite Dangerous run with no visible in game loading screens.

From asking for a launch request to lifting off of the pad then flying out of the docking bay. Then speeding up to hyperspace jump to the next system will all happen in real time form you view.

Of cause the game will be loading in data for all this but it should be seamless to you.

If you need to use a ramdisk then your PC must be below the required specifications set out to run the game and you would be better off correcting this first.
