Would anyone change anything on this type 9 build?

Yes, the docking computer. Never had one, never needed one.

Skip ahead to 6 min mark. If you don't mind the loss in cargo a shield cell booster would serve you better there, unless you play in solo.

Also drop down to a 4D power plant as well as 5D power distributer. Possible 4D if you can still boost. Lower if you don't mind not being able to boost.

You can keep doing this balancing act to make it tankier without loosing much jump. You can fill the utility slots with shield boosters but that would take a slightly larger power supply.

Good luck. I loved my T9!

You might consider down grading your fuel to 32 unless your trade runs are WAAAAAAAAY far apart. Just a thought.

He is right. Keep the 64T fuel tank for travelling, then when you get to the trade run, swap out for 32 ton, or even 16 if you can make the one way trip. Just remember to fuel up each time.

Solo or open?

Solo I would dump the shields and boosters, put chaff instead. Repairs are so cheap, you can take the small amount of damage while waiting for the FSD cool down.

Open, (this is just from personal experience) if someone in a big ship wants to kill you, they will kill you... 5A shields with boosters are not going to help you.

Best method to survive in a T9 is to not get interdicted by a cmdr in the first place. That means keeping your eyes open and focussed on the scanner, don't always take the direct route to the station & if you see someone deploying the interdictor in close range, drop out of warp (or emergency drop) Before they have a chance to lock onto you.

Regarding downgrading the tank.. Personally I think that is nonsense, only fuel what you need, I tend to keep the ship at 25% to 50%.

Death, what was the advantage of that small amount of profit?
