Would be good if my minor faction allies do not attack me when I am wanted by another faction.

Could the AI for the BGS be altered so that NPC allied factions do not try to shoot you down or help another faction when you are wanted and are an ally of theirs.

This would help give some type of progression when doing BGS gaming.

At the moment for a combat oriented single player, it seems pointless to support any faction when your own allied faction shoots at you, even when you are not WANTED by them in particular, and thus making allied status false.

When you are wanted by another faction and all you are trying to do is improve your allied faction's influence through combat, it seems wrong when your own allied faction AI ship, helps the other faction to shoot you down, it makes the AI seem poorly coded.

This change, could potentially make a CMDR immune in a system if they are allied to all factions, but it could also be balanced with a time/decay factor so that CMDRs will need to maintain their status with chosen MF to have the allied immunity bonus.

I suppose that supporting a particular political party (faction) doesn't mean you're above the law. A criminal is still a criminal... and there's a cash incentive (Bounty) available for them if they can help bring you to justice.

Yeah, I had a 200 bounty on me and got attacked by Aisling Guardians. I'm allied with the Empire, I was pledged to Aisling for months, I'm hunting pirates in an Aisling system (there's a pirate with 58k bounty that I'm fighting) and they attack ME?

With a line like, "killing you brings me profit"? SERIOUSLY?!

Just support an anarchy faction and you wont have this problem ;)
I'm allied with some anarchy factions, but they're still willing to try to kill me if I'm out running missions. I thought we were cool, but they keep sending anacondas to kill me. Wonderful squishy anacondas with creamy manufactured mat centers.

...and then they have the audacity to lower my rep when I kill them and turn in the bounty. You attacked me!

Go to war with a faction. You end up hostile. Jump to a neighboring system where your enemy has a presence but doesn't control. Kill a few wanted ships and turn in the bounties. Now you're unfriendly. Donate a few credits, run a few missions: back to allied within a few hours. It feels so hollow.

We're not allies; we're barely friends with benefits. More like employee of the month, but I'm just a 1099 contractor. I go out of my way to push influence and can't even get a thank you. People that spend their time murdering others get recognition in the "top bounties" list, but nothing for the top bounty hunters, miners, traders, etc.

I'll stop before I go full on rant mode. Needless to say I think the minor faction relationship mechanic could use a bit more meat.

I thought you were killing cops from another faction and your faction was shooting you for your bounty

How many pirates from your faction have you collected bounties on? Because when you go wanted, that's what you look like to them. Just another big red wanted sign. Stay clean out there Commander.

Law and order in ED universe is kinda and has killed a lot of gameplay.
Just want to make the game interesting instead of boring.
Incentives to do things in ED is really mediocre.
AI do not need credits and there are other factions that can go after the bounty.
Allied status should mean something not just bollards.
